Home made Peanut butter cups..or hearts

There is nothing sweet I love more than Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. It’s like a chocolate peanut party in your mouth. SO DAMN GOOD. Fighting the urge to go out and buy them I thought I’d make my own version. They are quick, easy and probably better for you!

So here we go..

  • Icing sugar
  • Peanut butter ( I use Whole Earth organic )
  • Chocolate ( I used dark but I think milk would have tasted awesome considering that’s what Reeses use )
  • A mould of some sort of you could make giant ones with cupcake cases. yeahhhh.

Easy part. Just take pretty much equal ratios of the peanut butter and icing sugar and mix them together till you get a fairly sandy-ish consistency. Melt your chocolate  in a bowl over a simmering pot of water. Add a drizzle into your mould that you’re using – enough so that you create the bottom of what is going to be your choccy cup. Then add about half a teaspoon of the peanut butter mixture onto that and then again more chocolate. It should just layer. You don’t want it all mixing together like marble. Stick them in the fridge to set and you’re ready for your chocolate peanut party.
